Creating a Blog List

Most of my friends know that I’m an uber organized person. I have planners for everything! I organize our meals every week, the kid’s schedules, work schedules, travel plans and more. I feel like when I don’t have things organized that I’m a little out of control and it makes me a little anxious.

So one of the things I need to work on now is to organize m blog! You know my goal is to write every single day for the next year. But I figured I need to make a very long list of topics I can write about and set aside time each and every day to write for days like today. Today I started not feeling well, so my mind was clouded some about what to write to write today.

I did a little research on how to organize a blog, and it’s interesting that it’s a lot like social media. I’m the director of marketing for a training company back home in the U.S., and I’m responsible for managing our social media. I have a calendar where I plan out posts for the week/month, so I don’t have to think too hard about cultivating posts every day. Blogging is the same way! All the great bloggers talk about having a schedule and list of topics to write about so now I need to work on that.

I got started on my list, but I would love to hear from you! I’m always amazed by friends who ask me questions about traveling, booking travel, food, and recipes, how I save for Christmas and more. So just wanted to put it out there and ask everyone, what is something you would like to learn about or hear from me? Shoot me an email or leave a comment below with your ideas!

Here are some of the topics that are on my list so far. I can’t wait to write about them, and as you can tell, I need to add a TON more to hit 365 articles over the next year.

  • Christmas Vacation in Vietnam
  • Christmas Vacation in Thailand
  • How to Save for Christmas Throughout the Year
  • Our Trip to Thailand
  • Our Trip to Australia
  • Tips to Plan Your Daily Traveling Itinerary

Pinterest has some great ideas and lists for topics. I actually have a separate planner just for my book-related things: TBR, new releases, blog posts, street team info, etc. I really need to get back on the ball because I have been slacking!

I have a content calendar with my posts planned out for the year but I have a few spots for spontaneity. Makes it a lot easier!

You are good! I don’t think I could do an entire year since I’m trying to write every day, but did lots of research and found some great posts about daily writing challenges. So loads more to add to my list!
